Site Council is composed of faculty, school personnel, parents and/or community members. It is a committee blending site based management and a shared decision-making process providing input on curricular and instructional strategies that meet the unique learning needs of the students served at school. Site Council meets once a month.
The 2010-11 Site Council is seeking nominations to fill three parent representative positions:
The following positions are two year terms:
* a representative for the Kindergarten/Grade 1 levels (must have an incoming Kindergarten student in 2010)
* a representative for the Parent at Large position (must have a student who will be at DCES for their two year commitment).
The following position is a one year term:
* a representative for the Grade 2/3 levels. Our current parent representative is leaving at the end of 09-10 school year which creates a one year vacancy for the 2010-11 school year (nominee must have a student entering Grade 3 in the 2010-11 year).
