The Safe Schools Assessment and Resource Bank (SSARB) is a 40 item survey, from February 8 until March 3, that measures six dimensions of school climate. SUSD staff, students and parents are being asked to take this survey which takes approximately 5-7 minutes to complete.

riendship Hands to Haiti has kicked off in DCES classrooms. Students will have the chance to "give a hand" to the people of Haiti by tracing and decorating their own hands, then stapling on dollar bills. DCMS is doing a similar project and the two school donations will be combined, then given to the American Red Cross. We look forward to your participation! Questions contact Mrs. Robinson.

To enrol your child please complete and return as one package the following documents
- 2010-11 New Student Enrollment Packet
- Original Birth Certificate or Passport
- Immunization Records
- Proof of Residency--acceptable are rental agreement, escrow papers or most recent utility (gas, electric or water) bill
- Guardianship/Custody Documentation (if applicable)
Please return your completed enrollment packages by March 1, 2010.

DCES Families - it's time to get our community together to support our February schoolwide Walk/Bike event! It is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th, before school. We encourage you to join us again if you are a returning family with students or if it's your first time participating. Please make sure you choose a safe route & plan to walk/bike with family or friends. We look forward to seeing our DCES smiling faces arriving to our campus between 7:50-8:10!
